The Position

Processing Assistants provide support to the Processing Team, helping to make sure loans submitted are thoroughly complete and up to standards. Processing Assistants work closesly with our Sales and Processing Teams and provide assitance to our borrowers throughout the loan process.

 

Processing Assistants are detail-oriented, organized, and able to multi-task and prioritize as needed to meet goals and timelines. Processing Assitants uphold the company's commitment to quality and accuracy throughout the loan process. Processing Assistants report to the office's Vice President of Sales.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the pipeline on a daily basis with attention to files nearing closing
  • Communicate regularly with Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs) and borrowers regarding status and items needed
  • Verify the accurace of the documents and data within the Loan Origination Software (LOS)
  • Upload items and make updates and notes to the files within the LOS
  • Order title, appraisal, credit, verifications and other items
  • Follow up on all documents, items, and conditions
  • Coordinate with Closing, Post-Closing, and other parties as needed

Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Self-starting, self-reliant, highly motivated and dependable
  • Efficient in time-management and ability to organize and prioritize tasks
  • Tech savvy and quick-learning
  • Able to handle a fast-paced environment

Education

  • High school diploma required
  • College degree preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous mortgage, real estate, or office experience preferred
  • Fluency in a secondary language, preferably Spanish
