    The Position

    The purpose of the Human Resources Generalist position is to maintain best practices through the hiring / separation processes, day to day work environment, and employee benefits. Human Resources is responsible for monitoring and assisting with HR functions at the office level, such as recruiting and on-boarding, the corporate level, such as internal document and resource management, as well as company-wide items such as benefit enrollment. Human Resources works with all employees and departments as well as outside vendors and services providers. Human Resources reports to the Director of Human Resources and ultimately reports to the Chief Compliance Officer.

     

    **Specifically looking for indivudals who may have HR Assistant level experience (including some recuriting) who are ready to take the next step in their career**

     

    Salary range for this opportunity is $30,000-$40,000.

    Responsibilities

    New Hire Onboarding

    • Assist with the processing, screening, and hiring of employees at branches and corporate
    • Work with other departments such as Licensing and IT to setup a new hires accounts and access
    • Provide new hires with information including documents such as the Employee Handbook, as well as guidance on how to access frequently requested items such as Direct Deposit and Tax forms

    Separation Processing

    • Process resignations and terminations as needed
    • Ensure all parties are notified of separations and all accounts/access removed in a timely manner
    • Send all separation items (formal letters, required state forms, etc) in a timely manner

    Database Management

    • Maintain all internal and third party databases with updated information including but not limited to: names, dates, personal information, contacts, payroll information, licensing information, etc
    • Perform regular audits to insure all information is accurate and up to date

    Employee Performance & Team Development

    • Schedule employee reviews for those eligible
    • Record and follow up on any employee concerns or behavior/activity warnings
    • Assist branch and department managers with decisions on and implementation of appropriate disciplinary action including but not limited to terminations or changes in employment structure
    • Develop, plan, coordinate and implement team building events and initiatives in line with the goals of the Executives in regards to the building of a company culture and cohesive team atmosphere

    Benefit Management & Employee Point of Contact

    • Confidentially address and assist employees with items of concern or complaints
    • Answer questions on benefits and assist as a liaison between brokers and other providers as needed
    • Track employee eligibility on regulated benefits such as paid time off, insurance coverage, etc
    • Notify employees eligible for enrollment after waiting period as well as during Open Enrollment
    • Assist with the completion of and processing of enrollment items as well as changes submitted
    • Continuously audit benefits including PTO balances and carrier invoices
    • Cancel benefits such as insurance coverage on separated employees

    Qualifications

    • Comfortable and capable of handling personal and confidential information
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
    • Highly organized, self-starting, self-reliant, highly motivated and dependable
    • Efficient in time-management and ability to organize and prioritize tasks
    • Technological savvy and comfort in learning new computer systems and programs
    • Completion of the Anti-Money Laundering, Fair Lending, and Equity trainings are required

    Education

    • High School Degree Required
    • College Degree Preferred

    Experience

    • 1-2 Years of Human Resources experience

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Degree or Certification in Human Resources, Management, or Administration preferred
